In 2019 I was commissioned by Louisville's Downtown development and revitalization agency, the Louisville Downtown Partnership, to design their 2018 Annual Report.

This project was particularly interesting, for even though this was an established agency, they had no real brand guide to use as a reference when designing. Ultimately this gave me a lot of creative freedom when it came to the design and presented the interesting challenge of finding something that would meet the clients need to accurately reflect the overall desired look and feel of the companies fiscal year in a way they had not had previously.

Because of this, coupled with myself working as an offsite freelancer, this meant that there needed to be regular communication between myself and the company to be sure that what I was designing was up their standards. The project spanned a number of months, and included meetings with Louisville Downtown Partnerships staff, their outside consulting agency, and the CEO before finally going to print.

In the end what was created was a 16-page, full color, booklet, with a mail label on the back cover so that the printing company could fold and mail them. From layout design and image placement to creating specialized icons and graphs, this project was a truly hands-on opportunity that let me put my design and user experience skills to the test to create an appealing report that the company would be proud to show their present and future Board of Directors.
